Hangzhou

For some reason I'm able to post pictures from our trip to Hangzhou (see the post before these for explanations). This is on one of the islands of West Lake.

A view from the boat.

This is the boat that we took on our journey across West Lake.

The Latest...

I'm still not able to post pictures on the site yet. Hopefully our internet will be back to normal soon. We'll be home on February 5th until the 23rd. We're really looking forward to seeing people during that time. Hopefully Mandy's cell phone will be working those three weeks.

This past weekend we traveled to Hangzhou - about a two hour train ride from Shanghai. It was cold and rainy, but it was still one of the most beautiful places we've seen so far. Mandy's friend, Jenny, is in town with her sister, Heidi, for two weeks. They came with us. We took Friday off from work and stayed over night. Hangzhou is home to West Lake (about the size of Lake Mille Lacs), a pretty popular tourist attraction. It has a couple of islands with ancient temples on them - amazing architecture. We froze, but we got plenty of pictures.
